I'm here to walk alongside you while you remember just who the hell you are.
Looking back, I think this journey began long before I ever realised it.
As a little girl, I loved books, art, creativity and storytelling. I was the child who was always making something, reading another library book or playing teachers.
Creating ‘stuff’ has always been my happy place.
As I grew older, life slowly taught me to tone myself down.
Those were my first experiences of being squished in what I now call the
Like so many women, I gradually lost sight of myself. There were even times I didn't like myself, or feel like myself. There were moments that should have been clues.
Buying boring things for my home that weren't really me.
Saying yes to jobs that didn't fit my values or interests.
Standing in front of a full wardrobe, disconnected from the woman in the mirror.
The turning point
It came during my last ‘proper job’. As prison education manager, my role began sucking the life out of me. Trapped in an office, bars on the windows, filling in spreadsheets. My only chance of creativity was doodling in my notepad during the endless meetings.
It felt like trying to squish a square peg into a round hole.
Something had to change.
Not because I needed to become somebody different.
Because I needed to find my way back to myself.
For years I thought I helped women with clothes.
It turns out I was helping them remember themselves.
Funky Diva Vibes grew from that realisation. It's more than a card deck, a workshop or a retreat.
A philosophy built on one simple belief
Joy matters.
Creativity is healing.
Choosing yourself isn't selfish. It's necessary.
It's never too late to reclaim your identity.
Your wardrobe can be a tool for self-expression rather than self-protection.
Most of all
You've spent long enough making do. You don't need fixing. You just need reminding of who you've been all along.
When I'm not creating Funky Diva Vibes, you'll often find me wearing pink sequins, watching drag queens, crocheting in my pyjamas, enjoying a roast dinner, drinking my coffee while it's still hot, admiring freshly washed sheets on the line, or spending time with my husband and our French Bulldog.
I love peonies, vintage kitsch, leopard print, glitter, flamingos and finding meaning in everyday moments.
Joy isn't something we save for special occasions.
